I only use Lemmy and deleted my reddit account. I didn’t bother with Mastadon or BlueSky. Then again I didn’t bother with Facebook or Twatter either. If it’s important it does bubble up to Lemmy with less bots and brigading going on so that’s a plus. I do have a few YouTube channels I watch that are either about fixing stuff or oddball humor. Here’s a thing you can try: write all the mean things you want to say, but don’t post it. Instead, cancel your post, downvote, and move on. It’s kind of therapeutic, almost like writing a mean letter you’re not going to deliver and destroy. It may not work for you, but being angry talking to stupid people all the time is very draining. Their AI is garbage at even finding factual data. No, this will not cause a “webpocalypse”. There’s already systems in place to send AI’s forcing their way into websites into mazes of infinite useless information to poison them.

At the end of the day, every search engine’s purpose is automating the curating of websites. People can go right back to human curated lists if the worst of the “webpocalypse” happens.
